Troubleshooting FAQ
Q: Why doesn't Ultimate VU appear in the Visualization list?
A: OpenGL is not installed correctly. Snag a copy from Apple's web page and install it.
Q: Why does the top of my monitor flash white when I use Ultimate VU and the pointer becomes a giant square?
A: There are some bugs in the older versions of ATI's drivers (including those installed by OpenGL). You need to get the 4.0.1 Universal Installer from ATI's web site and install it.
Q: Why won't my Voodoo, IxMicro, etc card not work with Ultimate VU?
A: The current version of Ultimate VU only supports those cards which are supported by Apple's implimentation of OpenGL and this is currently only ATI cards (9/14/99).
Q: Why don't you make Ultimate VU work with MESA to support other cards?
A: We don't have the hardware to test the configuration. This situation may change in the future (particularly if someone sends us a Voodoo card) at which time we will release a new version.
Q: Why do I only get a white window that says Ultimate VU?
A: If you are not using one of the above mentioned non-compliant cards, go to:

and we will try to help you.
